Bad sectors is twofold:1 - Bad Sector Hardware, which occurs due to the physical from the HDD is in damaged condition.

- Open My Computer
- Select the disk or partition in the diagnosis or repair
- Right click on disk or partition
- Select Properties
- Select "Tool" Window
- Click "check now" under error checking status
- Depending on your Windows version, "Thorough" or "Scan for and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors"
- Click "Start" wait until the process is complete
- Restart the Computer
